“Antes, durante e após a tempestade” navigates a storm that shook the core of my being and left me to balance among the waves at sea. I emerged from the waters cleansed of what only served to harm and no longer served me. Sometimes, I find myself looking back trying to retrace my steps from before the storm pulled me from the shore, but there is no way return to a lost path. Through each new grain of sand beneath my feet, I feel my way forward.

This is one of favorite paintings in the show as it was a personal triumph to complete it.
